Friday 13th September
Friday 13th September
Dear parents/carers,
It has been a lovely week at the Nursery; this time of the year we see children who return to us really grown and developed so much in confidence over the summer holidays and come back to us bursting with new experiences, which we are so excited to hear about.
For all our new children starting with us this year, our first priority is getting to know them all really well and how we can best support them as unique little learners.
A big welcome to our new families who have started with us this week and a welcome to the Friday message which has some key messages for the week which I send to parents every Friday. I encourage new parents to have a look at last weeks Friday message as well which had some important events for parents/carers to note for this half term
Tea and breakfast club
This week breakfast and tea club began again. For new parents/carers please sure you have the tea club mobile number saved on your phone. Parents are not buzzed into the building for tea club and must phone the mobile number and a staff member will bring your child to you with their belongings to the lobby area with the sofa.
For breakfast club please note that moving forward if your child arrives after 8.35am they will not receive any breakfast food and will just receive the childcare element of breakfast club. This is because arriving after this time is not enough time for a child to eat the breakfast food before the children start getting ready to go to their key group rooms for 8.45am. If you will be routinely dropping off your child after 8.35am for breakfast club please ensure they have eaten some food before you drop them off.
Parental involvement
We love having parents/carers in to share any special skills and passions with the children; please speak to your child's key person or to Subpreet/ Max if there are any experiences that you would be keen to come into the Nursery to share with the children.
We also have some Parent Governor vacancies to fill this year. Parent governors hold an important role in governing bodies, holding the unique position of having a parental viewpoint of the school. Please come see Subpreet if you would like more information about this or would be interested in applying for the role.
We are looking forward to next week when more children and families will continue to join us; have a wonderful weekend and see you on Monday.
