Supporting young children's oral health

This week we marked World Oral Health Day and the children learnt about the importance of  taking  care of their mouths.

We are including some information that families may find useful regarding diet and oral health practices for young children below. Please also see an attachment below on which you can find a dentist for your child in the local area.

Springtime at the Nursery

The season of Spring officially started on Thursday and we happened to have a gloriously sunny day at the Nursery on the first day of Spring. Please do think about what clothing is suitable for your child now that the weather will be (hopefully!) getting warmer. On sunny days please also remember to apply sun cream on your child.

As the weather improves children are also spending much more time outside running, jumping, climbing and engaging in lots of brilliant physical play; we have noticed lots of children are coming into school wearing wellies on dry days and this does affect their physical play and can prove to  be a bit of a hazard during their running and climbing especially. Please pop wellies on their pegs in a bag or in the cubby hole below the pegs,  rather than wearing  them into the Nursery so they are still available for your child in case the weather turns rainy.
